To my surprise I got an email about today’s Music Fest Monday band, the very last before we take off for Stagecoach this weekend, and one that had somehow slipped by unheard until about a week and a half ago. This five piece band right out of Pueblo, Colorado has a unique folk sound that rounds out their Americana roots. With hints of country and bluegrass, the simple production on their songs lends itself to an almost fully acoustic feel, making you feel as if you’re sitting in your living room or on your front porch jamming with friends. There’s a simplicity to their music that I love in folk and Americana, allowing the stories to tell themselves without any bells and whistles, leaving the listener hanging onto the vocals and harmonies in just the way they should be. The Coachella Valley Independent named them one of the bands to watch at this years Stagecoach Festival, and I have to say, I agree with them.
Haunted Windchimes will be playing Stagecoach on Friday, April 26th, 2013. Be sure to check out the song below and visit their official website for more info on the band and tour dates.
