Luke Bryan’s new song “That’s My Kind of Night” takes a detour from his country roots and goes on an adventurous journey into the bright lights of a wild rock stadium. With a beat that won’t stop and a those built in hand claps, it captures the fun that Luke Bryan just loves to have in his music, while exploring different territory at the same time. There’s no debating that Luke likes to make feel good music, practically tailor made for live performances, an effort to get the audience moving and grooving and easily singing along with him. It’s one of the things that has helped him build his career and every time he goes after it, it just gets better and better. I love this sound for Luke, a little more rock n’ roll while still remaining true to who he is by utilizing typical country music instrumentation. It’s a clear sign that he isn’t afraid to stay within the confines of that country music box and, I’m really hoping, he shows a little bit more of that willingness on his new release “Crash My Party.”
