Eric Church Debuts New Single “The Outsiders,” Remains Bad Ass While Doing So

With the 2011 release of “Chief,” Eric Church cemented his rightful place as country music’s modern day outlaw.  As far as I’m concerned, he’s one of the best live performers in the genre, and while the record gave us one hit after another, Eric has been sweeping up well deserved honors and awards.  I’ve been anxiously awaiting new material from one of my favorite artists, and after his cryptic video release last week, I was getting impatient.

Yesterday, Eric released his new single “The Outsiders.”  I’m not exaggerating when I say I listened to it 14 times.  In a row.  The track is quintessential Eric Church.  It’s another unapologetic anthem for the non-conformists, boasting pride in being an individual, marching to the beat of your own drum. Cheers, Eric, to what will undoubtedly be yet another chart topping hit.  And also, IS IT STAGECOACH YET?

The Outsiders

They’re the in crowd, we’re the other ones
It’s a different kind of cloth that we’re cut from
We let our colors show where the numbers ain’t
We’re the paint where there ain’t supposed to be paint
That’s who we are. That’s how we roll.
The outsiders

“The Outsiders” is now available on iTunes for a grand total of $1.29.  Get a taste of it below and then head over there immediately and purchase.
