New Music Tuesday: Natalie Stovall, Logan Mize & More!

Natalie Stovall & The Drive – Mason Jar

Natalie Stovall is back with that fiery, attitude fueled voice on their new single “Mason Jar.” The homegrown sound comes alive with sliding violins and explosive arrangements, sizzling under the beautiful harmonies that are almost a requirement for this rising band. The lyrics offer a brand new look at love and the addictive, delicious taste it leaves on your heart, comparing it to the sugary sweet alcohol in a mason jar. One thing is for sure, Natalie Stovall & The Drive know their audience well, and have offered this song up to them in gift wrapping. Natalie’s voice soars wildly over each chorus, showcasing the power and energy that has effortlessly become associated with the talented musician. Logan Mize – Can’t Get Away From A Good Time

Another artist on the rise is the good time crooner, Logan Mize, who just released the new video for “Can’t Get Away From A Good Time.” Already in his 10th week of rotation on The Highway and hot off the Workin’ and Drink’ tour where he played alongside The Swon Brothers and Wade Bowen, he’s sitting on the edge of massive success. This is an artist that has music basically flowing through his blood line; his Uncle Billy Mize has played with iconic artists like Buck Owens and Merle Haggard, as well as playing a key role in the Academy of Country Music for a number of years. It’s no surprise that “Can’t Get Away From A Good Time” is rising up the charts, it encompasses the feel good, party infused music that fans and radio stations love; making for that perfect summer time single to kick off your shoes and dance in the grass along with the swaying harmonica and rambling guitar. Kristian Bush – Trailer Hitch

In almost perfect timing on my part that I got to hear Trailer Hitch in all it’s glory last Thursday when I saw Krisitan Bush live. The second half of the massively successful band, Sugarland, Bush is breaking out on his own with this sunny, positivity infused new single. From the moment that rhythmic feel breaks through you can’t help but bop right along to the beat or put a smile on your face. The song preaches simplicity and the importance of focusing on the things that truly make you happy, not on the material goods we all seemed to be obsessed with these days. The witty lyrics and sunny atmospheric sound of the track really set out to inspire that need to spread love and good feelings around, breeding positivity in the melody itself. This is one song that not only brightens your day, but makes you feel good about what you do, or even don’t, have in life. Check out the song below and let us know what you think!

Lucy Hale – Lie A Little Better

Just a few weeks ago Lucy Hale accomplished her life long dream of performing at The Grand Ole Opry, and this week she takes that a step further, debuting the music video for her new single “Lie A Little Better” filmed at the iconic space. In an effort to capture the magic of performing at the venue, the video is mostly live performance footage, mingled with shots of her playing around with the band members that absolutely round up her sound. From the dressing room to the parking lot, viewers will get an even wider view of the Opry House, venturing backstage to hang out with the group of musicians as they mess around. The video is being released on the heels of a new exclusive CMT webisode series called “The Road Between with Lucy Hale,” which is set to give fans an intimate behind-the-scenes look at her career in the music business. Don’t miss the premiere of the second episode on July 30th! Check out the video now at CMT and let us know what you think!
