Remember when I was freaking out on Twitter about Gloriana uploading a new photo on Facebook? Well, I guess we finally found out what that was all about, and I could not be more excited! Fresh off a summer tour supporting Rascal Flatts and Sheryl Crow, this dynamic band is coming at us with some new music. Though they’ve seen slow rolling success in the form of their hit single, Kissed You Goodnight, and an early trip on the road with Taylor Swift; they’ve yet to have that major breakout hit to push them over the edge into superstardom. That might change next week when they release their brand new single, Trouble, off their yet to be titled new album.
Following in the footsteps of the awesome, but not high charting, single Best Night Ever, the group is promising this new song is unlike anything they’ve ever recorded. We all know that Mike and Rachel do the dueling vocals thing better than almost any other male/female group out there, and while they stray slightly from that on this new track, it’s done in a really exciting way. Pulling from the live version they’ve been doing at shows, it’s safe to say that Trouble is going to pack a whole new punch, full of intense harmonies and major attitude. The best part? Rachel takes the lead on this pissed off, no nonsense powerhouse song that takes cues from the Miranda Lambert’s and Carrie Underwood’s of the genre.
I’ve never been let down by any of their releases, with their last album A Thousand Miles Left Behind sitting among my all time favorite country records, I have a feeling I’m going to love hearing the finished version of this song. Be sure to check iTunes and Spotify next Tuesday to get a first listen of Trouble.
