Weekend Spin: 5 Songs You Want to Hear Now

Weekend Spin: 5 Songs You Want to Hear Now

I’ve been going through a bit of a John Mayer phase this week. Something about travel always puts me in the mood to take a trip back to Battle Studies or blast Born and Raised. Especially turning 30 this past weekend (more on that later), I found a lot of the songs still ring true, especially those about coming of age in a crazy world. Something Mayer reflects on pretty damn well.

But between my fangirling I stumbled on some other great songs that will carry me right into the weekend. For instance, The Lone Bellow released their sophomore album, Then Came The Morning… and I instantly fell in love. There’s also that phenomenal song about the power of words, Little Toy Guns, that Carrie Underwood is (finally!) releasing as a single. Needless to say, it’s been a really beautiful week of music for me.

Check out my 5 songs that you should spin this weekend. Let me know what you think! What songs are you obsessed with right now?? Let me know in the comments or tweet me @JukeboxMixtape.

Carrie Underwood – Little Toy Guns

The Lone Bellow – Call to War (KANENE ON THIS SONG, THOUGH. oh my god.)
