Weekend Spin: It’s All About The Girls

Weekend Spin: It’s All About The Girls

The time has come. The weekend is almost here. Let this music take you on a journey of relaxation and fun.

Rachel Timberlake – Whiskey Bent Wings

If you haven’t heard of Rachel Timberlake, you’re going to. Her powerhouse voice combined with an emotional take on a classic country sound is all you’ll need to keep hitting that repeat button. The song comes from her brand new EP “American Made.” I’ve yet to check it out, but if this video is any indication of what’s in store, I’m about to open iTunes and press the buy button. Trust me, you don’t want to miss the opportunity to be one of the firsts to hear these vocals.

Sunny Sweeney ft/ Will Hoge – My Bed

Another trek into a classic country sound, the Sunny Sweeney and Will Hoge co-write is tender and heartbreaking al the same time. There’s no doubt that her new album “Provoked” is her most emotionally honest release to date, and if you haven’t heard any of the tracks, My Bed is the perfect insight into the overall feeling and themes throughout. You know how I feel about duets, and this one goes down as one of my favorites of the year, it’s just beautifully done.

Karli Whetstone – Frozen

A super stunning video for a beautifully constructed song by Karli Whetstone. The video itself was directed by by the award-winning Roman White (Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Justin Bieber, etc.) and stars supermodel Cory Bond (who is too easy on the eyes). It’s a great reflection of the fluid, emotional impact of the lyrics.

Crimson Calamity – Pistols

I told you all about them here. But their album came out this week, so I thought I would remind you how awesome they are. Check out their track Pistols off their brand EP All In The Cards!
