Nashville Nights: For The Love of Tomatoes Benefit Celebrates Women in Country

On Monday night Nashville celebrated the female songwriting community with a fundraiser for 2nd Harvest Food Bank aptly titled the For The Love of Tomatoes Benefit. The benefit included three songwriter rounds featuring performances from many of country music’s rising stars including; Leah Turner, SaraBeth, Sandra Lynn, Jordyn Stoddard, Colby Dee, Sasha McVeigh, Lyndsey Highlander, April Kry, and Mary Sarah. The women performed a mix of their own songs and covers, making for a night of beautiful music that was all for a great cause.

It’s not often you see a group of women coming out to support each other, cheering one another on, and doing what they can to show that we all deserve our time in the spotlight. Man or woman. This was a special night to be apart of and I’m glad I got the opportunity to do so.

Take a look at some of the photos below. Even more are posted over on Facebook, so be sure to head over there and click like!

Who do you think was missing from these rounds? Let me know in the comments below or tweet me @JukeboxMixtape.
