Keith Urban knows how to write and find the hit songs. His #1 song of the summer, John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16 was one that we just couldn’t forget. In fact, when it comes on the radio I can’t help but turn it up despite the fact that I’ve heard it a million times by now. That’s how you know a song isn’t only good, but it has staying power. His newest release, Break On Me, comes in the form of one of those classic sentimental moments that he does so well.
The love song is a promise to be the pillar of strength in a loved ones life. When Keith wants to get serious and say something, he says it with feeling and it most definitely gives you goosebumps. Just thinking about him serenading his wife, Nicole Kidman, with this track is enough to make it a hit.
While it doesn’t have that repeatable, hooky feel that that his last single did, it definitely makes up for it in heartfelt emotion. Here’s a little sneak peak of the chorus:
When you need somebody right now
You’re where I’ll be
Break on me, shatter like glass
Come apart in my hands, take as long as it takes, girl
Break on me
Put your head on my chest, let me help you forget
Heart needs to break, just break on me
There’s no doubt that this song is going to be one of my favorite fall love songs. Urban’s voice can make absolutely anything feel real. What do you think of the song? Let me know in the comments or tweet me @JukeboxMixtape!
