The Cains get all dark and twisty in new “Knock Knock” video

Some of you may remember that I’ve featured The Cains a number of times since I discovered them just last year. The Alabama-based trio have been kicking ass all over Nashville and beyond, even taking a trip across the pond this last year for performances at C2C. I got a chance to see them again during CRS and experience the brilliance of their new track, Knock Knock, in person. It’s a song filled with resounding frustration wrapped in a gritty alternative country vibe, something of a departure from their last single, but in the most welcome way. Their new video lives up to the electrifying hype within the music, doused in artistic black and white cinematography and mystic smoke. It captures the mysterious essence of the song in the most simple way.

The Cains are one of the bands I’m betting on in 2016, and with this track, there’s no doubt they’re going to start making waves. In face, Pretty Little Liars star, Lucy Hale has caught on to their awesomeness and they’re part of a group of emerging artists to be featured as part of CMT’s Arist Discovery campaign. Keep your eyes (and ears) on these guys!
