You probably already know that Sam Hunt had a House Party at the Ryman during CRS week back in February. What you probably don’t know, is that I was there. Snacking on mini-burgers and enjoying an ice cold beer. Honestly, it’s the stuff life is made for. Hunt’s pop beats and country drawl were enough to make it the kind of party only Nashville can throw. Full of country music fans that flocked to Nashville to take part in one of the best weeks of the year (outside of CMA Fest of course). Even more exciting? He brought out Lady A’s Charles Kelley to do a 90’s music interlude that had us old people stomping our feet and singing every word to Strawberry Wine. In short, it was magic.
You might also not know that he was awarded with his 2x Platinum placard for his debut album, Montevallo. It gave us all even more reason to celebrate with him deep into the evening. When the party wrapped up around 12:30, everyone headed out to the bars of Broadway to keep that electric feeling going. Just another reminder why Nashville is the best place on earth.
