COFFEE MUSIC PROJECT: Musicians, this is a competition you need to enter

Garnering a fan base and gaining more attention is a constant hustle for musicians.

As someone with a ton of musician friends, I know this all too well. That’s why I’m excited to spread the word about the 2017 Coffee Music Project. As part of the New York Coffee Festival, musicians will be competing for the chance to win some major prizes.

The Coffee Music Project is a high profile music competition showcasing the creativity and talents of emerging musicians. Musicians at all levels can apply online by submitting links to two YouTube video performances. The top 36 contestants will be selected to perform during the qualifying rounds. The rounds take place on October 8th-10th in the heart of the East Village at Pianos NYC. From the qualifying rounds, 9 contestants will be selected to perform at this year’s New York Coffee Festival on October 13th-15th, before competing in the finals at Rockwood Music Hall, on October 17th.

The winner of the competition will receive $1,000 cash, a trip to London to perform the headline slot at The London Coffee Festival 2017, featured guest act performance slot at The Coffee Music Project London 2017, a free recording session and more. All nine finalists will also receive guaranteed slots to perform at The New York Coffee Festival, along with having one song featured on The Coffee Music Project 2017 album.
Needless to say, this is the opportunity to get in front of a lot of new faces. If you’re a musician, you can submit your application at this link.
I’ll be covering the festivities and I hope to see you there! If you’re thinking about applying, let me know. I’d love to cover a few of the new faces that compete along the way!
